Hi, my name is Cassandra Harris!!!
I am currently a middle school math teacher. I have taught almost every grade level from 7th to 12th grade.
Some interesting facts about me:
- I love dogs and have a toy poodle.
- I hate coffee!!! I am still a kid at heart, maybe this is why I do not like coffee!!
- I have a degree in mathematics, but a master’s degree in Math Education.
- I love to workout!!!
- I love TEACHING!!!(Of course)

I have been teaching 7 years. My first 4 years were at private schools. I remember my first day teaching, I felt so overwhelmed, and I had no idea how I could keep teenagers interested in my favorite subject!!! My goal was to figure out how to keep teenagers interested in what I presented to them. I continually do research on various ways to help my students learn!!! I am a STUDENT at HEART!!! I am continually learning!
As I continued teaching, I began working on my master’s degree and was so inspired by a college teacher who really inspired me to teach CONCEPTUAL UNDERSTANDING!!! Since then, my goal has been and is CONCEPTUAL UNDERSTANDING. I would look up ways that I could do this with my content.
I love to find creative ways to help my students learn, and I love to create engaging activities to help them learn & practice content!!!
I currently live in north Alabama with my husband, daughter, and dog, Zoey!!!
